We provide autism consulting and behavior intervention services to families in Vancouver, Burnaby, New Westminster, Richmond, and Surrey. Outreach services are available to families in Vancouver Island (Nanaimo and Parksville).
Our Philosophy
Our philosophy of teaching students with autism and other developmental disabilities is influenced by the research in Applied Behavior Analysis and own practice in the field.
Students with autism develop their learning and thinking skills in unusual ways, not following a typical development pattern. However, they can learn well with appropriate, systematic, and individualized teaching practices.
As clinicians we see ourselves as facilitators of learning and it is our responsibility to create and maintain a learning environment where students are valued, motivated, encouraged, and supported for the most meaningful learning to take place.
Children with autism and other developmental disabilities have a right to an effective and individualized treatment to meet their unique needs.
The basis for effective intervention is the use of empirical data based methods that permit objective evaluation of outcomes.
In order to effect learning in children’s lives, we must be informed and competent to make changes and strive for improving our own skills through continuing education and development.
Our Mission
We strive to improve children’s lives by maximizing their ability to learn.
We are committed to providing individualized, quality, scientifically proven treatment based on the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis that meets the unique needs of children and families and helps every child to reach their full potential.
