Anna provides mentorship and supervision for individuals wishing to attain Board Certified Associate Behavior Analyst (BCABA) or Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) credentials.
Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA)
BCBA is an individual who has obtained a graduate degree, completed behaviour analytic coursework and supervised experience, and has passed an examination administered by Behavior Analyst Certification Board.

A BCBA is an independent practitioner who
  • conducts functional assessment and analyses, and provides behavior analytic interpretations of the results.
  • designs and supervises behavior analytic interventions, and is able to effectively develop and implement appropriate assessment and intervention methods for use in unfamiliar situations and for a range of individuals.
  • teaches others to carry out ethical and effective behavior analytic interventions based on published research and designs.
  • supervises the work of others who implement behavior analytic interventions.
Requirements for BCBA Certification
  • A Masters or higher degree from an accredited University
  • Approved graduate behaviour analytic coursework (225 classroom hours)
  • Completion of a specified number of hours of supervised experience that meet the BACB requirements (1500 hours)
Requirements for BCABA Certification
  • A Bachelor degree from an accredited University
  • Approved graduate behaviour analytic coursework (135 classroom hours)
  • Completion of a specified number of hours of supervised experience that meet the BACB requirements (1000 hours)
  • Individuals who are BCABA may deliver behavior analytic intervention and assist with program design but may not independently design, direct, and guide behavior analytic programming for individuals with autism (Autism SIG).
BACB strongly recommends that a BCABA practices under the supervision of a BCBA.
Individuals completing their supervision must:
  • Engage in behavior analytic activities with clients in the natural environment
  • Work with multiple clients
  • Have began or completed coursework required to meet BACB standards
  • Complete 1000 hours for BCABA and 1500 hours for BCBA in their Supervised Independent Fieldwork and work not less than 10 hours but not more than 30 hours per week
  • Be supervised at least every 2 weeks for 5% of the total hours they spend in Supervised Independent Fieldwork

  • Total supervision must be at least 50 hours for BCABA and 75 hours for BCBA
